Went out of town for a few days. Came back to find...
Small tomatoes are ripening quickly and doing well. Big tomatoes are growing fast and doing fine. Basil in the ground is thriving, oregano in the ground bolted, thyme is struggling, basil in planters struggles, nothing will grow in the dog-packed area by the bird bath on the west side, and the dog or some critter has ripped up some plants by the roots. Two sunflowers are doing well. Some beans survived the initial slug attacks and look like they will grow fine. The mum that lives is huge now. Bigroot geraniums are happy and thriving where little else does under big rhodie. Hardy geraniums Patricia are starting to get ratty foliage, but isn't bad yet. Red flowing currant is getting crispy. Blueberries are ripening quickly, except sunshine blue. Lingonberries are flowering. Cosmo seeds I planted are a whole two inches tall, where they sprouted at all.
Only real bummers are several dead whole plants in the ground lose where an animal dug them. Things are shaggy and overwritten in spots, but it's still not too bad.
