Planter 2
Thyme, basil, flat-leaf parsley, cilantro
While collecting plants at Home Depot, I had the baby in the seat in the cart. He kept reaching down to grab the plants, so the taller ones were at the front of the cart. I figured the herbs, being so short, were out of his reach, so they went under him.
I was wrong; he was able to reach the thyme. Caught him once or twice grabbing leaves, and started to stop him. Then I realized... thyme is meant to be eaten. If the kid wants to grab a leaf and shove it in his mouth and chew, this is exactly the plant I want him to do it with, and I said Fine, if you want to eat the thyme, go for it. D went crazy for the next several minutes.. "How can you tell him to eat time?? How can a baby eat time?!!"
The leaves wound up stuck to his chin, which was pretty funny. Happy baby.
